Job summary

Senovo Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant in Haringey to support pupils with communication needs in a SEN school setting. The role involves delivering programmes planned by a Speech and Language Therapist and embedding targets into daily routines.

You will work with visual communication methods, AAC strategies and provide feedback to therapy and education teams, ensuring safeguarding and teamwork are central to practice.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting speech, language or communication needs.
• Ability to follow therapy plans accurately and adapt in the moment.
• Good record-keeping, teamwork and safeguarding practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programmes prepared by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
• Use visual communication, AAC and interaction strategies suited to each pupil.
• Prepare practical resources and embed communication targets into everyday routines.
• Record responses accurately and share useful feedback with the therapy and education teams.
• Encourage confident communication in a safe and supportive environment.
