HCRG Care Group is seeking a Speech & Language Therapy Assistant to join the SEND Therapies team in Essex. The role delivers targeted speech and language interventions to children, working under qualified therapists and supporting the Team Around the Child.

You will develop resources, maintain records, and contribute to service development while collaborating with educational professionals and families to maximise children’s communication progress.

Formación

• GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths.
• NVQ qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years' experience working with children.
• Knowledge of or experience with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload.
• Good interpersonal skills with children, families and professionals.
• Willingness to learn and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver regular speech and language intervention programmes following aims set by qualified Speech & Language Therapists.
• Interventions may be delivered one-to-one or in small groups across educational settings.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and evaluate progress.
• Support Team Around the Child including educational professionals and parents/carers; share feedback and provide training on communication programmes.
• Plan and maintain resources, complete outcome reports and schedule visits across settings.
• Collaborate with the team; participate in audit, quality improvement and service development activities.
• Participate in supervision, appraisal and continuing professional development.
