Job summary

Senovo Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join a specialist SEN education setting in Lewisham. You will assess pupils, deliver tailored programmes and collaborate with teaching staff and families to support learning and progress.

The role requires a relevant professional qualification and registration (where required). QTS is not required for this therapy position. DBS checks and safeguarding practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, record-keeping and safeguarding practice.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Experience with communication programmes, progress recording, safeguarding, SEN schools, Speech and language support.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils’ needs and contribute to clear, practical intervention plans.
• Deliver individual and small-group programmes appropriate to the role.
• Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records and provide useful recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with education staff, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Promote safe, ethical and inclusive practice at all times.
