Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the multi-disciplinary clinical team at The Gables Learning Centre in the Midlands. You will deliver targeted therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs, working closely with educational and residential staff to promote positive outcomes.

HCPC registration is required. The role offers a competitive salary (£43,453 - £52,493) and a wide benefits package, with 2 days per week on site and ongoing

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Experience with children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized speech and language interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation.
• Collaborate with education and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies and monitor progress of children and young people.

This role is based at The Gables Learning Centre, 2-days-per-week.

Located in the Midlands, our fully integrated therapeutic, education and care enables young people to realise their full potential, whilst developing their social and emotional resilience for the next chapter in their lives. The unique characteristic of our integrated provisions are the delivery of wraparound education, therapy and care to all children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children's homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC

• Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
