Job summary

Witherslack Group is recruiting a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team at The Gables Learning Centre, delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs. The role supports educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.

You will work closely with families, educators and care staff, with supervision and a structured clinical development programme, in a centre offering

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Specialist with proven skills to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience supporting teams around a child to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.
• Be a confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainer.
• Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative.
• Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.

Job description

This role is based at The Gables Learning Centre, 3-days-per-week.

Located in the Midlands, our fully integrated therapeutic, education and care enables young people to realise their full potential, whilst developing their social and emotional resilience for the next chapter in their lives. The unique characteristic of our integrated provisions are the delivery of wraparound education, therapy and care to all children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise andbreadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
