Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Queensmead House School in Windsor. The role is three days per week, with a salary range of £44,540 to £52,926 per year, including paid school holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered and eligible to practice.
• Specialist with proven skills to engage and deliver therapy to children/young people with complex needs.
• Experience supporting teams around a child to provide clinically informed living and learning environments.
• Confident, engaging leader and trainer with strong organisational skills.
• Committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
• Collaborate with education and residential colleagues to support therapeutic living and learning environments.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized intervention plans based on formulations.
• Deliver training and supervision to multidisciplinary team members as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to clinical development of the team.

This role is based at Queensmead House School, 3-days-per-week. Queensmead House School is an independent specialist day school, providing high quality education. Based in Windsor, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs. As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

Here’s a few things we’ll need from you:

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
• Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
• Need experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
• Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
• Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative
