Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join The Secret Garden School in North Warwickshire. You will embed our therapeutic practice model and contribute to developing the clinical service across our schools and homes.

You'll work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver personalised therapeutic interventions for young people with complex needs, ensuring safety, relationships and learning are at the core of living and learning environments.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Specialist with proven skills to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience supporting teams around a child to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments.
• Based on clinical assessment, offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people.

This role is based at The Secret Garden School, across the primary site.

The Secret Garden School is an independent, specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in North Warwickshire, the school meets the needs of pupils with special educational needs including ADHD, autism, speech, language & communication difficulties and social & emotional difficulties. Witherslack Group's therapeutic practice model focuses on the need for safety and connection, followed by relationships and connections and experiences and learning in order to provide our children with the platform to achieve. In this role you will be expected to be involved in embedding this model into The Secret Garden School and contributing to the development of the clinical service.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children's homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
