We support families through EHCP-funded and private pathways, working closely with Local Authorities, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals.

We are growing rapidly and are looking for a passionate, clinically excellent Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding SLT team at an exciting stage of the organisation’s development.

The Role

This is a full-time Speech and Language Therapist role within our specialist paediatric SLT service. You will manage an independent caseload, delivering comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with a wide range of speech, language, communication, and feeding needs. You will work as part of our close-knit multidisciplinary team alongside Occupational Therapists, and contribute to EHCP assessments, progress reporting, and family‑centred care.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for children with a range of presentations including speech delays, language impairments, social communication difficulties, fluency disorders, and feeding and swallowing difficulties
  • Use a range of standardised assessment tools, clinical observation, and parent and teacher report to evaluate communication and swallowing skills
  • Interpret assessment findings and formulate clinically reasoned diagnoses and recommendations in line with current evidence and RCSLT guidance
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educators to gather relevant background information and contextualise assessment findings
Therapy Planning & Intervention
  • Develop personalised, evidence-based therapy plans based on assessment findings, with clear, measurable goals set in collaboration with families
  • Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions using age-appropriate, play-based, and structured approaches
  • Provide targeted intervention across areas including articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, fluency, and feeding and swallowing
  • Monitor and adapt therapy strategies to meet the evolving needs of each child, ensuring consistent and effective intervention
  • Deliver online therapy sessions for clients who are unable to attend in person
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records including session notes, assessment reports, treatment plans, and progress summaries for each child
  • Produce comprehensive EHCP reports, annual review contributions, and discharge summaries to a high standard and within agreed deadlines
  • Communicate progress and strategies clearly and professionally to parents, caregivers, and educational professionals
  • Ensure full compliance with confidentiality, safeguarding, and GDPR obligations in line with HCPC standards and Hopscotch policy
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
  • Work closely with our MDT, including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Educators, and the wider clinical team, to provide integrated, holistic care
  • Attend and contribute to MDT meetings, case discussions, and clinical supervision
  • Provide training, guidance, and communication strategies for parents, caregivers, and school staff to support children’s communication development across all environments
Professional Development
  • Engage actively with clinical supervision and in-house CPD, including training in Sensory Integration and neurodevelopmental approaches
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of clinical learning within the team
  • Adhere to HCPC standards of conduct, performance, and ethics, and maintain current RCSLT membership
Person Specification
Essential
  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc) and current HCPC registration
  • Minimum2 years’ post‑qualification experience as an SLT, with demonstrable paediatric experience
  • Experience assessing and treating children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
  • Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to formulate and implement evidence‑based therapy plans
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional clinical reports to deadline
  • Experience contributing to EHCP assessments or annual reviews
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship may be available for the right candidate)
