Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our Community Paediatric SLT team in South London. This is an immediate-start position ideal for a therapist passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care in school and home settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
- Manage a diverse community caseload independently, including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, and home visits.
- Develop and review individualised therapy plans in line with EHCPs and SEND support.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, teachers, SENCOs, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide training, advice, and support to education staff and families.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service audits and clinical governance activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (Band 5 or equivalent), preferably in paediatrics or community settings.
- Proven experience supporting children with SLCN, autism, or developmental language disorders.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
