Create Education in London area is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to deliver Speech & Language interventions within a secondary school's Additional Resource Provision in Dagenham. Start: ASAP. Pay: £105–£115 per day, depending on experience.

Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will deliver targeted speech and language interventions to individuals and small groups, support pupils' communication and participation, and work closely with teachers and the SEND team.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Hands-on experience delivering speech and language interventions with children or young people.
  • Experience supporting pupils with autism and other special educational needs.
  • Confidence adapting activities for pupils working at different levels.
  • A patient, organised approach and the ability to work as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted speech and language interventions to individual pupils and small groups.
  • Support pupils’ communication, understanding and participation in learning.
  • Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions matched to pupils’ needs.
  • Help pupils use assistive technology to communicate and access lessons.
  • Record progress and share feedback with teachers and the SEND team.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils.
