Job summary

KT Healthcare is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team in Northampton. You will deliver one-hour direct therapy sessions, develop individualised communication plans and support a young person across education, home and community settings.

This academic year contract starts in September, with travel time and mileage allowances. You will work collaboratively with education staff, families and other professionals to promote inclusive communication and

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Speech and Language Therapist
• Experience with children and young people with autism and complex communication needs
• Knowledge of Developmental Language Disorder, speech sound disorders and neuro-affirming practice
• Experience supporting receptive and expressive language, social communication and sensory communication needs
• Excellent communication, report writing and multidisciplinary working skills
• Collaborative approach with families, education staff and other professionals

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-hour direct Speech and Language Therapy sessions on a fortnightly basis
• Develop and implement an individualised communication plan tailored to the young person's needs
• Support the young person's communication across education, home and community settings
• Work collaboratively with education staff, parents and other professionals to embed communication strategies into everyday activities
• Promote an inclusive communication approach, recognising and supporting all forms of communication
• Focus on meaningful, functional communication outcomes that improve participation and independence
• Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce reports as required

• 1 Hour Direct Therapy Fortnightly + Indirect Support Across the Academic Year
• Academic Year Contract, to Start in September
• £70 per hour
• £40 per hour travel time
• 55p per mile mileage

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, supporting a young person in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environment.

The Role
