Job summary

Phoenix School is expanding its therapy service and seeking enthusiastic Speech & Language Therapists (Band 6) to join our Outstanding provision for autistic students aged 3–19. You’ll work with the Phoenix SaLT Team and Phoenix Outreach Team to support our school and specialist classrooms across Tower Hamlets.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting autistic students in school settings.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming approaches.

Responsibilities

• Work creatively and collaboratively with extensive resources and expert support.
• Manage your own caseload with coaching from senior therapists.
• Plan, deliver, and train others in engaging, innovative therapeutic interventions.
• Embed communication and interaction opportunities within classrooms and specialist provisions.
• Support students’ emotional regulation, resilience, and wellbeing.
• Train and upskill education professionals in neuro-affirming communication and best practice.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to create meaningful outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider school community.

Phoenix School is expanding its therapy service and seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Speech & Language Therapists (Band 6) to join our Outstanding provision for autistic students aged 3–19. You’ll be working closely with the Phoenix SaLT Team and Phoenix Outreach Team to support our Phoenix School and Phoenix Specialist Classrooms across Tower Hamlets.

The Role

As a Speech & Language Therapist at Phoenix, you will:
