Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist on a bank basis for 5 hours per week across Royal Park, Jubilee Court and Elizabeth Court. The role involves assessing, diagnosing and treating speech, language and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages in a multi-site nursing home setting.

HCPC registration is required. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans, monitor progress and document outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Registered HCPC professional required.
• Proficient in speech therapy practices and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of physiology related to speech production and communication processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminology in speech-language pathology.
• Understanding of anatomy as it pertains to the respiratory system, vocal cords, and oral structures involved in communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and families.
• Strong organisational skills for managing caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Provide therapy sessions to patients using evidence-based techniques.

Salary: £85 per hour
