Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to work bank across three nursing homes in Wolverhampton. You will assess, diagnose and treat speech, language and swallowing disorders, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team.

The role requires HCPC registration, evidence-based therapy, and accurate documentation. You will provide therapy sessions, monitor progress, and contribute to care plans with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration.
• Proficient in speech therapy practices and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of physiology related to speech production.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
• Understanding of anatomy as it pertains to respiration, vocal cords and oral structures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Strong organisational skills for managing caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Provide therapy sessions to patients, using evidence-based techniques and interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Contract: 5 hours per week across our 3 complex nursing homes - Royal Park (WV2 2BL), Jubilee Court (WV14 9EJ) and Elizabeth Court (DY4 7PS)

Salary: £85 per hour
