Qualifications

• Current (or pending) registration with HCPC and membership of professional body (RCSLT).
• Experience or keen interest in neurological conditions and mental health.
• Experience in dysphagia competencies is beneficial.

About Cygnet Paddocks

Cygnet Paddocks is a 28-bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility for men affected by acquired brain injuries which opened in May 2024. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease an opportunity to help manage the progression of their symptoms. We are now seeking an NQP Speech and Language Therapist to join our Highly Specialist SLT in supporting individuals with speech, language, communication (SLCN) and eating, drinking & swallowing (EDS) needs.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose and play a key role in the management of men with acquired brain injuries, behaviours that challenge and other diagnosed / undiagnosed conditions. Under the guidance of the supervising SLT, you will be able to train others, promote good practice and maintain a successful inclusive communication environment.
