An exciting opportunity for a newly or recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join the dynamic SLT stroke team at East Surrey Hospital. This role focuses on managing an adult inpatient caseload, specifically patients who have experienced strokes, allowing for skill development within a supportive environment.
Are you a newly or recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist looking to join a supportive and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy team? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join the SLT stroke team based at East Surrey Hospital. The post will work across the Hyper Acute and Acute Stroke Unit.
The successful candidate should be interested in developing their skills with an adult inpatient caseload. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in patients who have had a stroke, and will be supported to manage a caseload of patients with communication and swallowing disorders independently. You will also be supported to compete dysphagia competencies as required.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have excellent communication and prioritisation skills. You will be passionate about delivering person-centered and evidence based care.
There will be opportunities to to contribute to training and support of Speech and Language Therapy assistants where appropriate
