Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

You will be well supported by an established SLT team to work flexibly across both our inpatient and community teams.

In this diverse role you will develop your existing skills, gaining experience in both stroke and neurological rehabilitation as well as a wide range of clinical specialities within the community/outpatient service.

You will be allocated a Flying Start mentor and supported to complete your RCSLT NQP competencies. Your post will be funded to complete dysphagia training. Regular support, supervision and opportunities to enhance your skills will be provided in line with Turas. This post will converted to a Band 6 role on successful completion of agreed competencies.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Relevant University Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Sciences

Certificate to Practice from Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Experience of working in NHS, Local Authority or a caring setting

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates relevant digital competencies

37 per week
