Job summary

A leading educational consultancy in the UK is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to conduct assessments and provide expert advice for children with special educational needs. The role requires a BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy and at least 2 years of paediatric experience. Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete statutory paediatric communication assessments for EHCNAs.
  • Provide timely, clear, and measurable EHCP advice.
  • Liaise with schools, families, BCIT and LA professionals.
  • Contribute to annual reviews where required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and comply with safeguarding standards.
Requirements
  • BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration (essential).
  • Minimum 2 years' paediatric SLT experience.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and contributing to EHCPs.
  • Strong assessment, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Professional indemnity & public liability insurance.
Desirable
  • RCSLT membership.
  • Experience in early years, mainstream or specialist education settings.
  • Knowledge of autism, speech sound disorders, AAC or language disorder.
  • Experience delivering training to schools or families.
Additional Information

  • Travel to local schools/settings may be required.
