Job summary

Amazon Audible Research seeks a passionate Scientist with a strong background in Machine/Deep Learning to join us in Cambridge, UK. You will work on developing novel algorithms for spoken language generation that enhance Alexa and create human-like expressions, directly impacting customer experiences.

You will lead and mentor engineers, design and deploy data-driven models, and apply advanced statistical methods including deep neural networks to speech and language applications.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse.
• Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.
• Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement novel Machine/Deep Learning approaches which add value to Amazon.
• Lead and Mentor junior engineers and scientists
• Participate in the design, development, evaluation, deployment and updating of data-driven models and analytical solutions for spoken language applications
• Develop and/or apply statistical modelling methods (e.g. deep neural networks), optimizations, and other ML techniques to different applications in spoken language engineering
