Job summary

Amazon Inc. in London is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Amazon Data Services team focused on Speech and Language solutions.

You will develop, manage, and support operations to ensure high-quality data labeling and service delivery for Alexa-related technology. You will oversee daily assignments, coach staff, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to optimize workflow efficiency and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day job assignments, monitor performance, adherence, volume and quality.
• Support hiring and training of new Associates.
• Ensure productivity through supervision, training, and analysis of performance data.
• Develop weekly work schedules balancing multiple workflows and priorities.
• Coordinate with Program Management and global operations to manage risks and mitigation.
• Track quality and utilization metrics.
• File and track tickets, follow up on blockers to productivity.
• Provide regular feedback to direct reports, both formal and informal.
• Identify process improvements using Kaizen, Six Sigma, or lean methodologies.
• Communicate effectively in English.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage job assignment on a day-to-day basis, monitoring performance on job or queue adherence, volume, and quality


• Support hiring and training of new Associates


• Ensure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a periodic basis


• Develop the work schedule for the week by balancing work across various workflows and/or navigating competing delivery priorities


• Liaise with Program Management and other global operations team leads to manage risks & propose mitigation strategies


• Track quality and utilization metrics


• File and track tickets, following up on blocks to productivity


• Provide regular, formal & informal feedback to direct reports


• Identify and help implement process-related improvement using methodologies such as Kaizen, six sigma, or lean


• Communicate effectively in English
