Specification Technologist

Location: NW London

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

The Specification Technologist will ensure that all customer specifications, pack copies, and artwork are accurately set up, and that all necessary customer documentation is produced to meet critical path timescales and launch deadlines.

This role is varied, involving work on new product ranges or modifications to existing ranges, requiring a strong understanding of products.

Responsibilities include reviewing artwork to ensure pack information accuracy and compliance with customer technical labelling policies, emphasizing the importance of getting things right first time.

You will also review raw material specifications to develop and improve compliance standards.

The Person

• Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing, with knowledge of writing specifications for retailers.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with a wide range of people at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical skills with the ability to transfer data clearly within reports.
• Completion of Food Safety and Health & Safety Level 2 certifications.
• Good understanding of specifications systems and strong computer literacy.
