Job summary

Noble Foods is seeking a detail-oriented Specification Technologist to join our Technical team in Leicester. You will ensure product specifications, artwork and technical information meet customer, legal and regulatory requirements while supporting successful product launches.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams, customers and suppliers to keep specifications accurate, compliant and delivered on time, with opportunities to influence packaging claims and labelling.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer specification systems and portals.
• Knowledge of food labeling legislation and allergen management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relating to packaging and on-pack product claims.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience managing deadlines and working to critical paths.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and manage product specifications in line with customer Codes of Practice and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve artwork and pack copy to ensure compliance with technical, labeling and legal requirements.
• Evaluate raw material, packaging and supplier documentation for compliance with company and customer standards.
• Manage supplier approval processes, including risk assessments, supplier reviews and trend analysis.
• Maintain customer portals and specification systems, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date and submitted within agreed timescales.
• Support the development and management of product critical paths alongside the wider business.
• Attend customer pre-artwork meetings and contribute technical expertise.
• Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and internal audit programme through audit activities.
• Assist with the maintenance of nutritional trackers and product information databases.
• Keep site teams informed of changes to legislation, labeling requirements and customer standards.
• Act as an active member of the HACCP team.
