MERLYN, the UK’s leading shower enclosure company, is currently recruiting a Specification Sales Manager to develop a cradle to grave sales plan, working with key customers including National and regional housebuilders, contractors, social housing groups, clients, architects & designers, and merchants.
The Specification Sales Manager will report to the head of specification sales in the U.K.
Position to be based in the Southwest of the UK.
Act as a key member of the UK Specification team.
Work collaboratively with the wider Merlyn sales team to provide excellent customer service and drive sales and profitability across defined key accounts.
Build and develop key customers and a project pipeline ensuring sustainable sales growth.
Assist merchant and specification teams in expanding the business by exploring new markets and customers.
Create sustainable relationships to generate demand for merchant partner customers.
Support the team externally to maximize opportunities with valued customers.
Collaborate internally with finance and other teams to meet margin targets.
Exceptional knowledge of the UK construction industry, including residential sector, merchants, and supply chain management.
Financial understanding of costs, markups, and margins.
Strong understanding of Merlyn and competitors’ products.
Strategic thinker with practical implementation skills.
Client and project management skills.
Self-starter with ability to find new opportunities.
