Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is seeking a Specification Engineer in North Somerset on a hybrid basis. You will translate customer requirements into precise technical specs, drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation, guiding projects from quotation to production.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Production, maintain engineering records, and support change control, ensuring on-time delivery and conformance to specification.

Qualifications

• Experience using AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, EPLAN or similar 2D CAD software.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and technical documentation.
• Strong MS 365 skills, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications, GA drawings and supporting documentation
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures within the ERP system
• Prepare manuals, work order documentation and configuration files
• Obtain drawing approvals and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• Maintain engineering records, drawings and product documentation
• Support engineering change control, version control and continuous improvement activities
• Ensure documentation is complete and ready for manufacture
