NHS Lothian is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Oncology / Haematology to join their team at Western General Hospital. This permanent full-time role involves delivering SACT services and working closely with a dedicated team in a dynamic environment. Candidates should hold a GMC licence and have completed relevant postgraduate training.

Entry Criteria for a Specialty Doctor:
A doctor appointed to this grade:
shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);
And
Or
Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Western general Hospital
This is a permanent full-time Specialty Doctor post in Oncology. Consideration will be given to requests for flexible working. This is a new post arising from the requirement to support the exciting rapid expansion of SACT services. The post holder will be expected to provide an autonomous service with consultant and nursing support for SACT prescribing in the Ward 1 MacMillan Day Treatment Centre and outpatient oncology clinics in gynaecological cancers at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.

2.5 (WTE) specialty doctors – Dr Jackie Grove, Dr Geetha Viswanathan and the new postholder
SACT delivery by trained nursing staff
Prescribing supported by ANPs and specialty registrars
