Job description

Applications are invited for one full-time Specialty Doctor position in the Department of Microbiology at Bedford Hospital.

This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of Clinical Microbiology and Infection services within Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable Hospital.

Laboratory and Research Facilities

The Bedford Microbiology Laboratory has recently been modernized with new equipment, including MALDI, Roche 6800, Enteric PCR, Microscan, and an updated Laboratory Information Management System implemented in January 2023. The Trust is also a clinical site for the Cranfield University Postgraduate Medical School, maintains strong links with Cambridge University Medical School, and supports a comprehensive research and development program.
