Provide high quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries. Direct clinical care will consist of scheduled shifts for the routine assessment and treatment of patients that present to the Emergency Department. Consultant presence is daily from 08:00 20:00 with off-site support out of hours. When a consultant is not present the oversight of the department (EPIC role) will be taken on by a member of the middle grade team as the most senior member of medical team on site. The post holder will be expected to supervise and provide clinical advice to the medical and nursing staff on duty within the Emergency Department and support the clinicians within the UTC.
