Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor to join our Rehabilitation Psychiatry services. You will work with Consultant Psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and drive forward patient-focused approaches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience at Core Training level or above.
• At least two years in the relevant speciality.
• GMC registration with licence to practise and eligibility for Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.
• MRCPsych or equivalent is desirable; Portfolio route supported if training not complete.

If so read on and take a look at the opportunity below We are now seeking to recruit a Speciality Doctor to join our Rehabilitation Psychiatry services on a full time or part time basis. We are really pleased that you are seeking a career at LPT, you will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically to drive forward innovation delivering the best effective care for our patients.

You will provide medical and psychiatric support to the Consultant Psychiatrists working in the service area and in the management of service users. The role will also involve working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Every opportunity will be given to encourage personal initiatives, research, specialist interests, teaching, training, supervision, and leadership, as well as arears of professional specialist interest you may have.

You will already have a minimum of 4 years’ experience at Core Training level or above, of which a minimum of two years will be in the relevant speciality, hold registration with the General Meical Council with a licence to pracitise and have/be eligible for approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act. Possession of MRCPych or equivalent is desirable. For those without MRCPsych training towards this will be supported, if desired. This is also a great opportunity for those who are working towards entry onto the Specialist Register via the Portfolio route.

We Want a Specialty Doctor Who Can

• Deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patents and carers

The post holder will be required to work in partnership to provide initial assessment and treatment initiation where appropriate of patients referred to the service. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity
