Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a Specialist Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Loughton. The role is part-time (5-15 hours per week) with start date ASAP and ongoing duration.

Lessons may take place at the learner's home, in local libraries or youth centres, or other locations outside mainstream education. The successful candidate will adapt lessons to individual needs and build a supportive relationship with the learner, who may have faced barriers to education.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching is preferred.
• Ability to adapt lessons to individual needs.
• Capable of building a positive, supportive relationship with a learner.

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated Specialist Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Loughton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor or teacher who is confident adapting lessons to suit individual needs and can build a positive, supportive relationship with a learner who may have experienced barriers to education. Often the successful candidate would be required to conduct lessons in the young person's home, in local council libraries, youth centres or other locations outside of the mainstream learning environment.

To be eligible for the Part Time 1:1 Tutor position through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.
