Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Loughton. The role often requires delivering lessons in the learner's home or local venues such as libraries or youth centres.

You will conduct baseline assessments, write lesson plans, adapt teaching methods, monitor progress and deliver engaging tutoring tailored to the young person. Successful applicants must complete safeguarding checks with Prospero Teaching.

Qualifications

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check registered with the online update service or willing to apply for a new one.
• Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.

Specialist Tutor - Loughton

Location: Loughton

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated Specialist Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Loughton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor or teacher who is confident adapting lessons to suit individual needs and can build a positive, supportive relationship with a learner who may have experienced barriers to education. Often the successful candidate would be required to conduct lessons in the young person's home, in local council libraries, youth centres or other locations outside of the mainstream learning environment.

To be eligible for the Part Time 1:1 Tutor position through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.
