Job summary

A leading school in Middlesbrough is seeking Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support students with autism and learning difficulties. The role requires strong numeracy and literacy skills, teamwork, and an understanding of special educational needs. Successful candidates will work full-time, leading and motivating others while supporting teaching staff. The position is permanent or fixed-term, starting in September 2025.

SPECIALIST TEACHING ASSISTANTS – LEVEL 3



Salary: NJC Grade G12-15 - £22,000 - £23,620 actual salary

Hours: Full Time – 34hrs per week over 5 days

Contractual Status: Permanent / Fixed Term



Required: September 2025 (Could be sooner dependant on circumstances)





Beverley School is an all-age special school for students with a diagnosis of autism and associated learning difficulties.



We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, highly numerate and literate Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work 5 days per week. The successful candidates will be expected to lead and motivate others as well as support teaching staff. They must also have up to date knowledge of the curriculum, experience of working with children with SEND preferred, an understanding of ASD and the ability to work in a team. The role requires specialist skills, knowledge and equipment within a specialised context, working with children with substantial additional challenges which may be learning, physical, emotional or behavioural.
