Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Specialist Teachers to support SEND learners in the UK, delivering one-to-one sessions in-home, online, or in the community. You will adapt sessions across SEND needs, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD with a child-centred approach and trauma-informed practices.

Roles are available on flexible hours, with in-person, hybrid, and work-from-home teaching options. Competitive pay and ongoing opportunities to grow your career are offered, along with pastoral support and a thriving

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
  • Child-centred, holistic approach to curriculum delivery.
  • Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate) and 2+ professional references
  • Based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online roles

Specialist Teacher Role Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Approach: Understanding of how to work in a child-centred, holistic way; you will have the ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student-centred way.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
The Specialist Teacher Role And Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships with children and young people who have a range of needs and who have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings.
  • Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid support to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD
