Job summary

Compassionate Care Group Ltd in the UK is seeking a Specialist Support Worker (female only) to support a young lady at her home in Salford. This full-time role operates on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota, days and nights, at £14.10 per hour.

You will provide person-centred support for learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, with emphasis on developing independence and life skills, while maintaining dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Previous work or personal experience of supporting individuals with Autism or Learning Disabilities.
• Driver's license and access to a car is essential.
• Strong empathy and good common sense.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support our client, a young lady who has Learning Disabilities and health needs.
• Develop our client’s life skills and personal interests.
• Attend health appointments, liaise with professionals and support with medication.
• Arrange and support a structured and varied plan of activities in the home and local community.
• Document progress and goals with family and other key people.
