Job summary

Impact Student Partners is seeking a Specialist Study Skills Tutor to provide on-campus, face-to-face support at universities in Leeds and remote assistance where appropriate. The role focuses on developing personalised learning strategies for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) to boost independence and academic success.

Applicants must hold professional membership in recognized bodies and demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Membership with at least one professional body (PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE or Dyslexia Guild).
• Ability to provide both online and face-to-face support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing workloads.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Specialist Study Skills sessions in line with DSA guidance and company standards.
• Develop tailored support strategies based on individual needs and outcomes.
• Build positive relationships and foster confidence, engagement, and independence.
• Support students with study skills, time management, planning, and note-taking.
• Maintain accurate session records and report documentation.
• Escalate safeguarding or wellbeing concerns as required.
• Participate in supervision, CPD, and peer networking.
