The role is part-time (1 day per week) for 10 months, with base location negotiable and community-based work. You will conduct assessments, manage caseloads, provide feeding and swallowing interventions for infants and children, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration.
• Specialist paediatric dysphagia experience required.
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.

Join our team as a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist focused on Paediatric Dysphagia, located in the charming Bronllys, Powys. This exciting locum opportunity is to earn up to £35.00 per hour on a part-time basis for just 1 day per week over 10 months. We are seeking someone to start ASAP with the role continuing until Summer 2027. What you will do

Requirements

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy with current HCPC registration.
• Demonstrated specialist experience in paediatric dysphagia.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload effectively.
• Competence in managing dysphagia for children from infancy through older childhood.
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
• Own transportation is essential to engage fully with community visits.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in community paediatrics is advantageous.
• Prior experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated history of supporting complex feeding and swallowing needs.
