Specialist SLT (Community)
West Lothian

There is an opportunity available for a B6 Specialist SLT post in the CYP SLT team in Community settings in West Lothian. Applicants looking for part time hours may also apply.
The clinical remit will be high quality Universal/Targeted and Individualised direct clinical care for CYP in community clinics, mainstream primaries and nurseries and also for potential to work in a special school, depending on skills and experience. It will include working closely with Education colleagues.
Applicants should have recent experience of working in a paediatric setting and of being proactive and supportive of new initiatives. They should have experience in delivering training and other universal and targeted initiatives.
The postholder will clinically be based at one of the Health Centres in West Lothian and will also be expected to travel to other bases as required and to work on Microsoft Teams and by phone.
The SLT service is innovative and supportive. It is committed to the principles of clinical governance to provide a high-quality service focused on the child’s needs. Support is provided for therapists in district based and clinically focused teams. All therapists have a personal development plan and are encouraged to extend their skills through a variety of CPD activities.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
