Job summary
As part of our Service Redesign, new posts have been developed to support our high risk patients who require a fast response in order to prevent hospital admissions where possible. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced therapist to join the countywide Worcestershire Adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service, which covers Community Hospitals, Out-patient Clinics, and Specialist Teams, with the aim of providing the optimum evidence-based service for the people of Worcestershire.
This full-time specialist SLT post (part-time considered; minimum 0.6 WTE) will focus on Fast Response under the guidance of a Highly Specialist Clinical Lead, working alongside experienced community SLT colleagues. Clinically, you will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and case management for patients with communication disorders and dysphagia related to various diagnoses, possibly maintaining a small caseload.
You will be integral to developing the Service into a high-performing, well-respected provider of timely, safe, and effective Speech and Language Therapy. We seek an ambitious, creative clinician who is self-driven and works well within a team. You will receive excellent management and clinical supervision, based in the north of the county.
