Job Overview

We are looking for a dysphagia-trained SLT to join our large, friendly team at Manchester Royal Infirmary. You will assess and treat inpatients with dysphagia and/or communication problems (some patients may have had strokes), but also provide an Outreach service to patients at home post-discharge or to avoid admission.

You will be very well supported by your senior colleagues and peers. We have regular CPD time and in-service training and will provide training in videofluoroscopy if needed.

Main Duties of the Job
  1. To provide a clinical service to adult inpatients with acquired swallowing and/or communication problems.
  2. To provide an Outreach service to patients post admission and admission prevention in the community.
  3. To provide input to the teaching, research, audit, and service development functions of the department.
  4. To actively participate in CPD opportunities to maintain and expand clinical knowledge.
