Job Description:

If you are a skilled Speech and Language Therapist with confidence in your abilities and a background in supporting children and young people dealing with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify speech and language difficulties in children with SEMH needs.
• Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address communication challenges and enhance overall social and emotional well-being.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, psychologists and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for every child.
• Providing training and support to parents, caregivers and educational staff on strategies to reinforce communication skills in everyday settings.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress reports and treatment plans.
• Staying informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in speech and language therapy, particularly SEMH issues in children.

Requirements:

• Qualified Therapist.
• An affiliate of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
• Registration with HCPC.
• Experience of working with children facing SEMH difficulties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS, dated within the last 12 months, on the update service. You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
