Job summary

North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a motivated Social Worker to join the Children's Disability Social Work Team. You will undertake assessments, care planning and interventions to support positive outcomes for children, young people and families across North Lincolnshire.

You will manage a caseload of children in need, those under child protection plans and children in care, working with partner agencies to safeguard and promote welfare.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered with Social Work England.
• Experience of working with children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practice and child development.
• Ability to build effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
• Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, work independently and in a team.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to transport.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Flexible working arrangements aligned with service needs.
• Willingness to travel across North Lincolnshire and work in homes/community settings.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Social Worker who: Is qualified and registered with Social Work England. Has experience of working with children, young people and their families. Has knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practice and child development. Can build effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies. Has strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills. Can manage their workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a team. Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own transport, as travel across North Lincolnshire is required. Has the right to work in the UK. Additional Information Enhanced DBS check required. Flexible working arrangements available in line with service needs. The role involves regular travel throughout North Lincolnshire and work within family homes and community settings.
