Zusammenfassung

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to cover the South Intensive Community Assessment and Treatment Teams (ICATT) for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in Nottinghamshire. The post is 0.4 WTE (2 days) with full support from a skilled SLT team and an assistant SLT, located in Nottingham.

The role includes multidisciplinary collaboration, staff development, and robust supervision.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised SLT Degree/Diploma
• HCPC Registered
• RCSLT Registered

Aufgaben

• Specialist SLT assessments focusing on functional communication and what reasonable adjustments should be in place to support the person’s needs.
• Liaison, advice and recommendations that aim to prevent further communication breakdown and empower the person to express their thoughts and opinions to the extent they wish.
• Co-working with MDT colleagues, families, and carers to enable their inclusive communication practices in their relationships, care, and interactions with the individual.
• Attendance at meetings with and on behalf of ICATT and the individual to plan for ongoing and accessible care.
