Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult SLT team at University Hospital Crosshouse. This permanent post is banded at 43,231–52,679 and 36 hours per week in a busy hospital setting.

The role offers opportunities to work across wards delivering assessments and treatments for adults with communication and swallowing disorders, with chances to develop skills in advanced dysphagia and video fluoroscopy in East Ayrshire’s acute hospital environment.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly responsive clinical service to adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders across wards in University Hospital Crosshouse.
• Develop skills in advanced dysphagia and video fluoroscopy, and contribute to hyper-acute presentations at the front door, acute cardiac unit and ICU.
