Job summary

Royal Devon invites applications for a part-time Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join our SLT team in Exeter. This permanent role focuses on dysphagia and communication care across acute wards, with opportunities for CPD and professional development.

The post supports a comprehensive NHS benefits package and a structured supervision plan within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. 15 hours per week, core hours Mon–Fri 08:30–16:30.

Qualifications

• Registered speech and language therapist with clinical dysphagia and communication expertise.
• Experience in acute hospital settings is desirable.
• Excellent teamworking and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Specialist Speech and Language Therapy within our wards.
• Support CPD and professional development for SLT staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ICU, HDU, surgical wards and older person care.
