An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 7 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to work in NTIMS (North Tyneside Intermediate Musculoskeletal Service) and support our First Contact Musculoskeletal team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, experienced, and have significant experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Completion of the First Contact Practitioner (Musculoskeletal) Roadmap is desirable but not essential.

Successful applicants will provide musculoskeletal physiotherapy in NTIMS and support First Contact Practitioner clinic provision within North Tyneside. The post holder will conduct expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including self-referred patients or referrals from primary or secondary care. Telephone consultations will also be expected.
NTIMS provides physiotherapy care across North Tyneside, including primary care clinics based in local GP practices and Health Centres. The position is based at North Tyneside General Hospital, with possible work at other sites based on service needs.
The successful applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and peers. Experience in supervision, education, and training of junior staff, as well as involvement in student education, research, and audit, is required. The post holder will provide clinical supervision to colleagues.
Applicants should provide evidence of ongoing professional development and postgraduate training. Collaboration with the senior leadership team for service development is also expected.
