Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 7 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to work in NTIMS (North Tyneside Intermediate Musculoskeletal Service) and supporting our First Contact Musculoskeletal team. Ideal for enthusiastic, experienced, candidate with significant experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Completion of the First Contact Practitioner (Musculoskeletal) Roadmap would be desirable although is not essential.

Main duties of the jobSuccessful applicants will provide musculoskeletal physiotherapy in NTIMS in addition to supporting First Contact Practitioner clinic provision within North Tyneside. The post holder will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions who have self-referred or who have been referred by primary or secondary care. The post holder will be expected to provide telephone consultations.
NTIMS provides physiotherapy care across North Tyneside alongside primary care based clinics based in local GP practices and Health Centres in between. The post will be based at North Tyneside General Hospital but there may be a requirement to work at other sites, according to service needs.
The successful applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills with MDT and peers. Applicants should have experience in supervision, education and training of more junior staff and be involved in student education, research and audit. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical supervision to colleagues..
Applicants must provide evidence of continuous professional development and post graduate training. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the senior leadership team in further service development.
