Job summary

Salfords Primary School in Redhill seeks a Specialist SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child, two days per week (Thursday and Friday) on a fixed-term basis until August 2027. Previous TA experience, especially in one-to-one roles, and a passion for inclusion are essential.

Qualifications

  • Good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
  • Extensive experience of working with pupils with SENd.
  • Ability to support learning activities, clarify instructions, and engage children effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication skills, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexible, calm under pressure, and passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives.
