Job summary

Humber Education Trust is seeking a (Specialist) Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored SEN support across the school. The role involves assisting with medical, personal care and learning activities, and supporting pupils with complex needs and EAL as needed.

The successful candidate will work flexibly, contribute to group learning, and receive comprehensive training and ongoing professional support in a welcoming, safeguarding-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning with detailed feedback to teachers.
• Supervises and provides specialist SEN support including health needs.
• Support academic, social and emotional development of learners.
• Assist with Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
• Sets challenging expectations and promotes independence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate learning activities with teachers and provide feedback on learner progress.
• Supervise learners requiring SEN support and assist with safety.
• Support individuals and groups in academic, social and emotional development.
• Help implement Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care routines.
• Encourage independence and high expectations in learners.
