Job summary

Ribbons and Reeves Limited in London is seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated SEN school team from September. You will assess and treat pupils with communication, language, autism and complex SEND needs, delivering individual and group therapy and contributing to EHCP planning.

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists, you will develop tailored intervention plans, monitor progress, maintain records, and promote inclusive teaching

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as SLT.
• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience working with children/young people.
• Strong knowledge of SEND and communication needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with autism/complex needs.
• Excellent assessment and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' speech, language, communication and interaction needs.
• Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes.
• Provide advice and strategies to teaching and support staff.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews and outcomes.
• Support pupils with expressive/receptive language and social communication needs.
• Use AAC, visual communication and other approaches where appropriate.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
• Work within a multidisciplinary SEND team.
• Help staff embed communication strategies throughout the day.
