TLTP Education is seeking an experienced School Business Manager for a specialist school in Northampton (NN2). The role focuses on day-to-day management and strategic development, balancing finances, administration and operations to support students and staff.

The post offers a 8:30am-4:30pm schedule, a fixed-term contract to July, and potential for 1-2 days of remote working. You will work with the Headteacher and senior leaders to ensure efficient, safe school operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a School Business Manager or similar role.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Experience managing administrative and operational functions.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR and compliance.
• Education or specialist SEND experience is desirable.
• Professional, proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsabilités

• Oversee budgets, financial management, expenditure and reporting.
• Support the Headteacher and SLT with financial planning.
• Manage procurement, contracts, suppliers and purchasing.
• Oversee administration and operational systems.
• Support premises, facilities, health and safety matters.
• Support HR processes, including recruitment and payroll where appropriate.
• Ensure policies and statutory requirements are maintained.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money.
• Contribute to strategic planning and school development.
