Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Specialist Midwife for Safeguarding Children at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich on a 12-month part-time secondment. The post supports staff in complex cases and collaborates with the Named Midwife and safeguarding teams to ensure risk assessments are thorough and child and family outcomes are improved.

Qualifications

• Broad range of midwifery experience, leadership skills and excellent communication and networking skills.
• Interest in working with vulnerable women and their families.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for continuous development and improvement of maternity services.

Responsabilités

• Advise and support staff in complex cases and to work closely with the Trust Named Midwife and Safeguarding Children/Adult Professionals to assess risks and improve outcomes.
• Work as part of a dynamic multi-agency team assessing notifications and referrals regarding vulnerable women/birthing people and babies via the MASH.
• Provide cross-site coverage across acute and community maternity services and liaise with Local Authority colleagues as part of MASH.
